Typically done by plastic surgeons, Liposuction is generally understood as the elimination of surplus body fats. From the name itself, lipo means 'fats' and the suc- in suction simple means 'sucking out'. So in Liposuction, surplus fat in the human body is removed via suction with the use of special surgical equipments. But why would people want their fats sucked out? Initially, the fats that are removed are surplus or undesirable fats. Having surplus body fats causes irregularities in body shape - making the body look distorted. Hence, in expelling the excesses, Liposuction is able to smoothen out the body contours wherever you want to observe that curve - one main reason why Liposuction is favorably called by its advocates as 'Body Contouring'. In this sense, Liposuction aims to improve body appearance, catering to the aesthetic values of cosmetics. So that's why, but how? Ideally, the patient must undergo initial consultation.
